                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO REZONE A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED IN THE
                   400-800 BLOCKS OF CUMMINGS HIGHWAY, BEING ON
                   THE SOUTHEAST AND NORTHEAST LINE OF CUMMINGS
                   HIGHWAY AT CUMMINGS ROAD, FROM R-2 RESIDENTIAL
                   ZONE AND M-2 LIGHT INDUSTRIAL ZONE TO M-1
                   MANUFACTURING ZONE, SUBJECT TO CERTAIN
                   CONDITIONS.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to rezone:
               
                A tract of land located in the 400-800 blocks of
                Cummings Highway, being on the southeast and
                northeast line of Cummings Highway at Cummings
                Road.  Part of tract 23, Plat of Lands of Frank A.
                James, as shown by plat of record in plat book 7,
                page 41, ROHC, and an unplatted tract; being part
                of the property described in deed book 869, page
                561, ROHC, and part of the property described as
                Parcel No. 1 in deed book J, volume 17, page 264,
                ROHC; and being all of Tax Map No. 165-10.
               
               
         from R-2 Residential Zone and M-2 Light Industrial Zone to M-1
         Manufacturing Zone.
        
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this rezoning 

         shall be subject to the following conditions:
        
              1.   Dedication of right-of-way as required by City 
Traffic
                   Engineer.
        
              2.   Landscaping along Birmingham Highway as required 
under
                   Article V, Section 1004(1) of the Chattanooga Zoning
                   Ordinance.
        
              3.   All existing easements are retained.
        
        
              	   SECTION 3.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage, as
         required by law.
